Cristina Dimuș was born in 1970, in Galați.

She graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the National University of Arts in Bucharest, specializing in Painting, where she earned her bachelor's degree in 2020 and her master's degree in 2022.

She is a full member of the Union of Visual Artists of Romania.

Her path toward art began in childhood, through drawings, illustrated books, and the world of traditional crafts practiced within her family. After finishing the Economic High School (1989) and two unsuccessful attempts to be admitted to UNArte in the '90s, the artist followed a varied professional path. Her return to art took place in 2017, when, at 47 years old, she was admitted to UNArte, dedicating herself fully to study, studio practice, and academic training.

For Cristina Dimuș, painting is "a second nature" and a way of life. She believes that art must constantly explore new directions, avoid repetition and self-sufficiency, and stimulate curiosity. Studio work, ongoing study, and technical experimentation are essential to her creative process. "Art unites, communicates, and endures. It is our history," the artist states.
