The ancient Greeks observed nature through contemplation, making it the first subject of philosophy and a timeless source of inquiry. For them, nature was a perpetual source of wonder. My landscapes refer to this theme while seeking new ways of representing it. The compositional and chromatic solutions I have developed resemble photographic fragments with optical effects of a contemporary sensibility. These works are intended as exercises in representation, meditations, and explorations of ideas.
